Winding Rocks

Winding Rocks is inspired by a rugged Mediterranean coastline with winding Breedon gravel paths and large Purbeck boulders for children to climb over and to act as a sculptural backdrop for plants. 

A contemporary oak and wire pergola and rose arbour provide simple structure and are softened by climbers. Urns run through the planting and along with Italian cypress trees create an Italianate feel. 

A circular wildlife pond is edged with smooth cut limestone to provide a contrast to the boulders. Wildlife is abundant throughout the pond and planting.

Lines are flowing and naturalistic. Planting is drought tolerant, tropical and Mediterranean with high scent and seasonal longevity.
